WANTED: Manager of Institutional Giving at Maryland Theater

Round House Theatre, a LORT D theatre in Bethesda and Silver Spring, MD, seeks a motivated and diligent individual to join their Development team. The central responsibility of this position is the management and growth of the institutional donor program including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and benefit fulfillment. This position is extremely writing intensive, including letters of intent, grants, timely acknowledgements, and reports to funders and prospective funders. The Manager of Institutional Giving will seek out and secure in-kind contributions and sponsors as well. Candidate must possess strong organizational and research skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at a time, close attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and other duties as assigned. Must be able to organize and maintain a full grants calendar, and collaborate with colleagues internally to produce full, detailed, accurate, and timely applications and reports. Position will require some time commitments outside of the traditional work day, including evening/weekend special events and committee meetings.  Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience in the development field, and prior knowledge of theatre and nonprofit organizations. Salary is commensurate with position at theatres of a comparable size.
