Professional Development: If you missed it...

If you missed the awesome grant writing class offered in Maryland by Valerie Mann on November 12th before the start of the GPA National Conference, you missed a solid professional development opportunity.

The day-long class included a book of more than 100 pages and covered a large variety of topics in grantsmanship including:

• Designing a Strategy and General Writing Principles
• Writing the Grant Application
• Grant Administration

Ms. Mann has written approximately 700 grant applications which have yielded more than $127,000,000 for her clients. These clients have included municipalities, counties, nonprofits, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, hospitals, and universities. Funds have been used for a wide variety of projects including street rehabilitation and construction, water and sewer, parks and recreation, fire protection, law enforcement, historic preservation, heritage tourism, economic development, and healthcare.
