Another New Year!

Dear my GPA Colleagues:

Thank you for a great 2013!  

We hosted informative chapter meetings.  Our two guest speakers, Tobi Printz-Platnick from the Cafritz Foundation and Carla Diggs Smith from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, were phenomenal.  We also enjoyed exciting socials including getting together for great jazz at the National Gallery of Art before Labor Day 2013.

Our chapter blog is up and being visited.  We post on the blog job announcements, contract opportunities, and chapter news.  As another service to members, I am also emailing to members job announcements and contract opportunities.

We had several chapter members attend the GPA National Conference held in Baltimore, MD. Congratulations again to our two chapter members, David Lindeman and Andy Rawdon, who now serve as the co-editors of the Journal of the Grant Professionals Association.

At our first chapter meeting, Maria Gomez, President/CEO, of Mary’s Center will lead us on a tour of what is Mary’s Center’s largest community health center and its flagship location.  Annually, the facility serves nearly 20,000 patients annually.  The tour will occur 4:15 pm to 4:45 pm.  We will have a brief business session afterwards.
