Upcoming Chapter Events, June 2016

Hello chapter members!

Please find below updates on two upcoming chapter events. We look forward to seeing you!
Chapter lunch, June 2nd: Please join your fellow chapter members for an informal lunch on Thursday, June 2nd from 11:45 to 1:00 at the Panera Bread at Metro Center (601 13th St NW, near corner of G, and just down the block from the Metro Center metro station). We will commandeer a table in a (hopefully) quieter area in the back. We will be there at 11:45 to get a table – we encourage you to join us then to beat the crowds or to join us whenever you can during the lunch hour! This is an informal opportunity to meet other chapter members, discuss current issues in the grants world, or vent about that latest grant application that drove you crazy! If you plan to attend, please RSVP at grantsnca@gmail.com so we can gauge space, but please feel free to drop by even if you are unable to RSVP!
Next Chapter Event, June 14th: As a reminder, on June 14 we will join the Foundation Center to host a professional development session on “Selling and Telling: Impact and Your Organization.” Describing programs is easy; communicating their impact is more complicated. This session will focus on finding and articulating program results using everyday English and a blueprint to guide action. The session will be led Edie Steele, Ph.D. of Hood College in Frederick, who has conducted training in program development, data collection, evaluation and measurement for funding and nonprofit organizations in the Northeast. June 14, 2016, 11:30 am-1:00 pm, Foundation Center, 1627 K St NW in Washington. For more information and to register, please sign up here.
Questions? Feel free to contact us at grantsnca@gmail.com.
Best,
David
