WANTED: Associate Manager – Online Fundraising and Reporting

DEPARTMENT: Development and Membership
REPORTS TO: Deputy Director of Development and Membership with accountability to the Director of Information Systems for use of the Raisers’ Edge database, including standards and processes.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To support the membership and fundraising activities of Bread for the World and Bread for the World Institute, with primary responsibility for online fundraising, reporting and membership acquisition advertising.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

Online Fundraising and E-Communications: 60%

1.       Develops strategy, creates and implements online fundraising campaigns and other online fundraising efforts

2.      Authors content for email campaigns, manages donation forms and implements welcome series for new constituents

3.      Serves as liaison with Communications and other departments to implement online campaigns

4.      Manages and negotiates list rental purchases for email list growth

5.      Participates as a member of the Email Campaign Team and Social Media Team
Reporting and Database Support: 30%

1.       Designs and generates weekly and monthly fundraising and membership reports, as well as campaign specific reports, to evaluate the success of direct response fundraising initiatives and projects.

2.      Performs database imports and global adds and changes as needed to support fundraising initiatives.
Advertising: 5%

1.       Manages advertising budget and negotiates contracts

2.      Creates ads to increase membership acquisition and supplement Communications’ efforts

3.      Designs reports and tracks response rates to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising efforts

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES: 5%

  1. Represents the Department on assigned task forces and committees.
  2. Other tasks as assigned.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

None
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

·         BA or BS degree desirable or equivalent with minimum of three years nonprofit or fundraising experience

·         Knowledge and experience in online communication and fundraising

·         Experience with database software; Raiser’s Edge, Convio or other similar online CRM software is preferred

·         Working knowledge of HTML, Google Ad and Google Analytics a plus

·         Excellent writing and interpersonal skills, especially for an online environment

·         Strong analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions

·         Excellent organization and prioritization skills and ability to manage time efficiently

·         Ability to work cooperatively within a team
